We set sail from Lavrion, near Athens, the perfect starting point for exploring the Greek Islands. This is the most sailed spot for Marco, one of our cofounders, who has captained over 50 groups here in the last 10 years. Marco knows these waters like the back of his hand and will take you not only to the most famous spots but also to private bays, charming fishing villages, and tiny, traditional Greek taverns where you can enjoy an authentic taste of Greece. Our journey often begins at Cape Sounion, where the ancient Temple of Poseidon stands on cliffs overlooking the Aegean Sea, offering unforgettable sunset views. From there, we visit Hydra, a car-free island where donkeys navigate cobblestone streets, and the harbor is lined with beautiful stone houses. On Spetses, you’ll find the Old Harbor, where traditional wooden boats and neoclassical buildings create a unique atmosphere. Poros invites you to explore its colorful streets, the iconic clock tower, and peaceful lemon groves. Kythnos offers a slower pace, with its natural hot springs, secluded beaches, and traditional villages.Syros, the capital of the Cyclades, showcases elegant architecture, marble squares, and a rich blend of Greek and Venetian influences in the town of Ermoupolis. Mykonos offers its well-known windmills, charming streets, and some of the most famous beaches in the Aegean. A stop at Delos takes you into the heart of ancient history, with temples and ruins that tell the story of Apollo’s mythical birthplace. Greece offers great sailing conditions year-round, with warm Mediterranean weather. The best sailing season is typically from May to October, with the summer months of June to September being the busiest and warmest, ideal for sun-seekers. The winds are more consistent during this time, particularly the “Meltemi” winds from late June to September, which provide excellent conditions for experienced sailors. For a quieter experience, consider sailing in May, early June, or September to October, when the weather is still pleasant, but the crowds are smaller.
Our routes vary, but a 7-day charter often includes destinations like Hydra, Cape Sounion, Spetses, Kythnos, and of course, Mykonos. Each location offers its own charm, from picturesque villages and historic sites to beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters. Customization options are available to suit your interests, whether it’s exploring ancient ruins, hiking, snorkeling, or enjoying the vibrant local culture.
No experience is needed for our crewed charters, as each trip includes a professional captain.
Our charters cover your yacht, captain, customized itinerary, national park and anchor fees, snorkel gear, and other essentials. Additional activities, such as diving or guided island tours, can be arranged for an extra cost.
Pack light, breathable clothing, reef-safe sunscreen, and swimwear. We recommend a dry bag for excursions and water shoes for coral areas. We’ll send a full packing list with helpful tips after booking.
The waters around the Greek Islands are typically calm, especially in the sheltered bays and coves, with mild winds in most areas. The best sailing conditions are from May to October, with the Meltemi winds providing a steady breeze during the summer months (June to September). While the winter months (November to February) can bring occasional rain and stronger winds, the weather is generally mild, making the Greek Islands a year-round sailing destination.
Wi-Fi is available on most yachts for an additional fee. Connectivity varies by location, especially in remote areas, so we encourage unplugging to fully enjoy the experience.
Our activities offer a blend of adventure and authentic Greek culture, including cultural visits and exploration of historical sites.
